Mission
My mission is to share my passion for knitting with as many people as possible, especially those who are part of marginalized and underrepresented groups. I do this by teaching classes, technical editing for other designers, and creating designs and writing patterns of my own.
As a plus-size designer, my samples are made in large sizes for fat bodies. I believe all humans have value, regardless of their size, and I know firsthand how exclusionary knitting patterns have been until fairly recently. I am committed to making all of my patterns accessible and size-inclusive.
Knitting has a rich history and cultural significance to many groups around the world. My goal is to honor those traditions when possible without being appropriative.
My hope is that people who interact with me and my business see the value of knitting, not just as a hobby, but as a creative outlet, a break from technology, and a tactile activity that improves mental wellness.
